Business Networking For Tilers, Tiling Contractors, Tiling Tools and Tiling News

Yes our idea for a social network for tilers has been copied already and I'd have to say that I'm really quite flattered. Not only have they used the same ideas as us, they also used the very same platform and software to launch their site.

Maybe it's just the next step on Dan's mission of internet attacks against myself?

A bit like his blog post for 'Professional Tilers in Nottingham' that was supposed to take the top spots on Google and strike fear into my very heart - where's that post ranked on Google??? Sorry don't think anyone saw it, obviously your self promoting 'tiling news' site doesn't hold much weight.

Starting a forum thread to encourage other Nottingham tilers to chip in with my slagging off, sorry but I'm not worried by other tilers in Nottingham as I know a lot of them and can call most of them good mates; competition is always good.

What was his last tactic? Well basically telling his forum members that I was calling tilers up and asking for money; is it me or does this guy smoke too much weed? I don't call tilers up for money and never have! I think you're just worried that your little empire is slowly being eroded away and that your sponsors are already thinking about pulling funding.

What else has Dan been up to? Trying to block my IP so I couldn't see what he was up to on his forum, that worked for around 5 seconds; nice try but no cigar. Deleting my other username so I couldn't log in to defend myself against his paranoia, or should I say deleting one of my other usernames.

I'm sure Dan will also assume that tilerspace.com and tiler register support only one tiling course provider, which is incorrect. I'm more than happy to feature other tiling course companies, once I've done their courses. I'm just waiting for an invite.

So what should I do now? Should I just continue ignoring Dan and his sycophants or should I react and post links to information about Dan Freakley that his trusting sponsors and tiling course providers don't know about?

We'll see, maybe two wrongs do make a right :)

I think he's just saying it seems like you're getting a bad name. Though that was before he (and it was him that routed out the real cold callers using your name) found out it wasn't you. And fair play he said it's customer street and not you.

I also hadn't heard of you before a month or so ago. Though I wouldn't have used his words there. He doesn't like spammers or con artists though, like you, and was just trying to point out who the spammers are, he thought it was you, but then found it wasn't.

I think he's a fair guy, and people are knocking him. I think he isn't paranoid, he knows the score with this tile web stuff and has really good members of the tile industry backing his projects. Fair play to you both for promoting tile and getting discussion on it. It can only bring more help for the those who the websites interest.

Lots of points of views are wanted and this is all helping. But keep the discussion to tile, like Dan does on his sites I think.

yes the thread initially started off as a very valid thread and had some good advice, I just noticed once my username had been deleted comments such this started reappearing, or ones like this

It could be read like that. I think he was questioning it more so than suggesting it. As the first post explains by a member. I think it's unfair for you to copy one post from a whole topic. Dan has provided some respected websites. I think the tilersforums social network could be another success story.

Though yours is cool.

It is my aim to review all the tiling courses, but unfortunately they are very reluctant to let me on; two even sent back my money after initially accepting me. At the end of the day I'm sure there's some great trainers and training courses, but why stop me from attending? If they were poor I just wouldn't publish the review.

As for the cold calling, check out these screenshots to see what I was referring to

I think it was another member of tilersforums that told the forum they had a call from "Tilers Register" which seems it may have been Customer Street, who are some cold calling firm.

Are you going on all the courses then?
