Nearly completed a job tiling mosaics in a Kitchen which has been an absolute nightmare... these tiles had literally no grout line to speak of and when I hung them, because they were heavy and had a very flimsy backing mesh the weight of them would drop a few in the centre....oh yea and always tell me to position tiles to my benefit not the clients.....

anybody got any tips out there for larger sized mosaic hanging?

Loads of those plastic wedges is the answer John.

For heavy mosaics I get the sheet in place and while trying to hold the top row steady, and work from the top joint down inserting the wedges as I go. Time consuming and a bit of a ball ache, but it does work if weight is an issue.

tks ..I did use wedges on some sheets and probably should have put 1 in per tile, I kept thinking I must be doing something wrong...my lines are level ..my horizontal levelish ( I was taking it straight up from the counter) my gear is giving good coverage yet ive got to stick wedges in to hold these tiles up......I resorted to holding some of the layers up with tape!...grouting it all tomorrow so Ill post some pics ...although I think I might take them from a good distance!....
